With Sachin Tendulkar all set to be here for Mumbai Indians' IPL fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 24, the city has some grand plans to celebrate the senior batsman's 40th birthday.
Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has ordered a special 40-pound cake for Tendulkar.
"A special Hyderabadi chef has been put in charge to make the 40-lb cake which will have 40 different expressions of Tendulkar," CAB secretary Sujan Mukherjee told PTI.
"We are yet to convey this to the team. But we want to make it a low key affair in the Mumbai Indians dressing room," he added.
Tendulkar, meanwhile, is also likely to spend some quiet time paying a visit to the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture in Golpark.
Some former students of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya also have plans to make the occasion a special one.
"The former students' association, known as Narendra Jyoti, had called us to book a hall. But it is yet to be finalised," a representative of the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture in Golpark said.
